Salish Sea Week of Lanterns Festival
August 15-21, 2021
The Salish Sea Lantern Festival is an annual celebration of art, culture, light and community. In 2021, ArtSea and our partner Arts Councils from across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands invited our communities to get creative and join the Week of Lanterns Festival.
We enjoyed seeing the unique lanterns and creative displays by individuals, households, neighbourhoods, and businesses!

ArtSea is fortunate to operate within the unceded territory of the Coast Salish People – within the traditional territory of the W̱SÁNEĆ Nation – Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Tsawout and Tseycum peoples.
Welcome to our New Partners!
In 2021, ArtSea is excited to collaborate with arts councils from Qualicum, Ladysmith, the Comox Valley, Salt Spring Island, and Gabriola Island; they will all be presenting this magical celebration of art, light, and culture in their communities this August.
