Robin Kilistoff

Born in Ottawa in the 1950’s, Robin grew up with her mother, also an amateur artist. Her mother’s enthusiasm for the bucolic Ontario countryside stimulated Robin’s developing eye for the play of light and shadow.
Robin has been exposed to painting from the Group of Seven to European historical art, and continues her study and exploration of worldwide art.
Robin lives in the seaside village of Brentwood Bay. She joined an en plein air group and found the joy and frustration of painting alla prima. Lots to learn.
Robin paints landscapes and portraits, predominantly in oils, and dabbles in Chinese brush stroke.
Location 2 : Coast Capital Savings, 3750 Shelbourne Street, Victoria, BC

After waiting more than half my life to find time for my creative side, I started painting after receiving a gift of a plein aire kit from my sister. I was attracted to acrylics because of their quick drying time and I realized that I LOVED acrylics!
My ‘style’ has been wide open and I have enjoyed trying all types of subjects and styles, from portraits to landscapes to still life.
