Who can participate?
If you are an artist, an arts and culture group or organization on the Saanich Peninsula, ArtSea would be happy to share your information in the Interactive Arts Directory online map.
Do I need a studio or formal space to participate?
No, you do not need to have a studio or formal space!
Your location will appear on the interactive map, but you do not need to open or share your space at any point in time (unless you choose to do so).
How will the information in this directory be used?
This map may be used as a networking tool for artists: you may learn that a neighbour works with the same medium and you can share information and experiences, or you may find a small group of artists in your neighbourhood and organize an outdoor art sale.
Artists may find local groups or organizations of interest that they would like to join, or discover someone with useful materials or resources.
Art enthusiasts may use this map to virtually explore the Saanich Peninsula and learn more about the rich and varied talent that is available.
Is there a fee to have a listing with the Interactive Arts Directory?
This is a new program that ArtSea is offering in 2021. For the remainder of 2021, there will be no registration or participation fee to have a listing in the Interactive Arts Directory; however, you must be a current member of ArtSea Community Arts Council.

It is the intention of ArtSea to advertise and promote this as a go-to resource for arts and culture information on the Saanich Peninsula. There may be a nominal annual registration fee to help cover the cost of administering this resource beyond 2021.
Can I advertise Open Studio / business hours?
The interactive map can include business hours or open studio* hours for your location.
*ArtSea strictly adheres to COVID-19 Provincial Health Orders (PHO) and regulations. The Interactive Arts Directory will not encourage or promote in-person studio visits unless it has been deemed safe according to PHO.
Should you wish to hold a Studio Tour event, you may be eligible to use the ArtSea outdoor Studio Tour signage to help promote your event (organized and reserved ahead of time). Contact: studiotour@artsea.ca
Can I include external links or sell my work?
You are welcome to include images and external links as part of your profile listing.
All sales are the responsibility of the artist or organization.
Can I share the Interactive Arts Directory information?
You are welcome to share the Interactive Arts Directory link to your media accounts, or embed the link on your website.
How do I add my information to the Interactive Arts Directory?
Please ensure that you are a current ArtSea Member (Learn more about becoming an ArtSea Member), and then fill out the website form (above). You are welcome to include a short description of your organization or your artist bio, external links, as well as images and photographs.
Please allow 10 business days for verification of membership and publication of information to the Interactive Arts Directory map.
