Surfacing

So often in life we go through crests and valleys precipitated by many different things.
Sometimes our artistic endeavors can be a sign to see these changes coming or going and
often are our life preservers. The clarity we strive for again and again can be like surfacing from
a deep slumber.
So too is the plane of our canvas or paper an ever-evolving experiment in creating a meaningful
surface. One that gives the maker deep satisfaction and challenges the creators expectations.
This pursuit itself is the companion that rarely fails us in times of joy or changes.
So here we have three friends, companions along the way who while individually are striving to
comprehend their paths, have enjoyed and benefitted from the company of each other’s humour
and wisdom.
