ArtSea Gallery – Rental Application

The ArtSea Gallery Rental Package and Application to Rent the ArtSea Gallery was updated in July 2026. Please read all sections of the Gallery Rental Package before you fill out the Application. Submission indicates agreement to all terms and conditions.

Checklist: Before You Submit your Gallery Rental Application

ArtSea Members can apply to rent the ArtSea Gallery space for a duration of one-week (Friday to Thursday). All exhibitions and workshops are artist directed. Renters include Individual (solo) Renters, as well as Group Renters. Groups must designate one person to be the Main Contact; this person will be responsible for communications and documentation on behalf of their rental group. Rental fees: $700, which includes a non-refundable deposit of $200 paid immediately with the submission of this application (please have payment method ready). The main contact will receive confirmation of the rental week within two to four weeks of submission confirmation.

All participating artists and exhibitors must hold a current Individual ArtSea Membership. Beginning with the 2027 rental season, a Group Membership will no longer meet the membership requirement for ArtSea Gallery rentals. Societies, guilds, and other groups are welcome to apply for a group rental; however, each participant must hold their own current Individual ArtSea Membership. *To help ArtSea with funding and reporting information, please share the community in which each participant resides (example: Sidney, North Saanich, Central Saanich, Victoria, etc.).

ArtSea is compiling a list of artists and artisans that are interested in joining an existing show at the ArtSea Gallery. If you are interested in contacting others that might like to join your show, ArtSea can provide a list of interested artists. Gallery Renters (main contact) will be responsible for all coordination and final decisions.

Gallery Rental Dates and Deposit Fees.

ArtSea Gallery artist exhibition: one-week art show, Friday to Thursday. Please select three rental dates (in order of preference) that are “AVAILABLE” on the 2027 ArtSea Gallery Rental Calendar (artsea.ca). Your dates and application will be reviewed according to the preset “Criteria for Approval” (see the 2027 ArtSea Gallery Rental Package), and the ArtSea Gallery Team will contact you to confirm your rental date. If your application does not meet the criteria, or a suitable date cannot be secured, the $200 deposit will be returned. Once your rental date is confirmed, the $200 deposit is non-refundable.
The ArtSea Gallery in Tulista Park can be rented for a duration of one week: Friday mornings through the following Thursday evening. Please refer to the webpage for the gallery rental availability.

Exhibition hours (daily start and end times)
Shows at the ArtSea Gallery must be open to the public from 10am-4pm, seven days per week, with a minimum of one attendant to welcome visitors. Exhibition hours can be extended to begin as early as 8am and end as late as 8pm (except on the final day), based on preference/availability.

This information may be included as part of the ArtSea online event calendar listing. Please note that demonstrations that involve significant debris or mess (including clay or pottery) are not permitted during the rental week. This is due to the additional cleaning expense and time that is required, as well as the quick turnaround time between exhibitions. Thank you for respecting the space, the gallery team, and your fellow gallery renters.

    Rental Agreement:

    ArtSea Gallery in Tulista Park provides rental space for arts and cultural practitioners for one‐week blocks. Renters include Individual (solo) Renters, as well as Group Renters. Groups must designate one person to be the Main Contact; this person will be responsible for communications and documentation on behalf of their rental group. For the Purposes of the ArtSea Gallery Rental Agreement, the Main Contact will also be considered the Renter.

    ArtSea Gallery Rental Fees:

    The Renter (Main Contact) will be contacted within two to four weeks to confirm gallery rental dates and exhibition details. Please note that the $200 deposit does not guarantee your rental week or the “first choice” week indicated in the rental application. The ArtSea Team will do our very best to accommodate your preferred date.Approximately 2 months prior to your confirmed rental date, an invoice for the balance of the rental amount ($500) will be emailed to the “Main Contact” from our online payment system, “Square.”Please note that paying online reduces administrative costs and enables more funding for arts and culture programs.
