Mandala in Sanskrit means both “circle” and center implying that it represents both the visible world around us (the circle, the whole world) and the invisible one, deep inside our minds and bodies (the center healing circle). It is said that mandalas are used as symbols for meditations, protection and healing. It appears in all aspects of life; the celestial circles we call earth, sun and moon as well as the conceptual circles of friends, family and community. By contemplating upon a mandala you may be seeking self surrender or to obtain unity with your truths that are beyond intellect. You may be wanting a deeper connection to the soul or a calming place to unwind your busy mind ♥

As an entrepreneur, I am always seeking a means to be creative and be around other like minded “creatives”. Over the years, I have taken on many side hustles but there’s one idea that keeps calling to me. That is opening a store front to host a variety of creative pursuits. I have created this page to gather my ideas in hopes of possibly finding a like minded person or persons to partner with or even just bounce ideas off. I am also looking for local feedback on ideas of what THEY would like to see in the community and see if I can work that into the business model I am trying to create. It occurred to me that when I was jotting down my ideas, I had no way of getting peoples attention on such an idea or concept and so this group began.

My dream is to have this creative hub be a space where creatives, entrepreneurs, freelancers, curators and everyone in between can simply exist, create and snack on local wholesome treats and beverages in a cozy vibe, small town café feel.

I will bullet point my ideas below:

Classes:
Painting, Beadings, Drawing, Writing, etc. the possibilities are endless

Coffee & Chill Spot:
Passers by can stop in and enjoy a locally sourced beverage and class attendees can be creative and indulge in this service as well onsite.

Events:
Events such as paint nights, book launches, product launches, craft fairs, local artisans sales, holiday events, locally crafted sample nights, etc.

Local Artisans Shop:
As an artist myself, I have found it challenging to find shops that will sell some of my art (without any commission) My hope is to implement a section of this storefront for the work created locally not only within the shop, but by outside local artisans as well with minimal commission (if any) taken

Product Sales/Art Store:
I would love to have a corner dedicated to all things crafty. From paints, to canvases, brushes, tools, paper/pads, stones, molds, premade art kids, and store merch

Now, that being said-this is currently a pipe dream-but as anyone who knows me…I tend to be pretty good at making my pipe dreams come true! I am looking for feedback and possible partnership with someone in this business but ideally within 1-3 years. I want to plan this out right and want to be able I ensure a good fit with whomever is interested in this venture.
