Tactile Land – Art by Jolanta Va is a contemporary, textural collection of landscapes, depicting abstracted, tonalist interpretations of ocean scenes of Vancouver Island. Inspired by the movement of light and emotions gained by looking at the ocean from land or water, I am using limited colour pallets, thick textures and loose, but accurate depictions of objects striving to capture the feelings and memories they invoke.
