Handmade, one of kind wearable art, including books, small objects and collages.
Each of her pieces will take you on a journey, just as she has undertaken a journey in creating them. Her series “Collage Girls – The Class of 1928” explores the lives and careers of 20th Century women. Another celebrates aviation history, and other works, including her wearable books, illustrate aspects of human nature, such as courage, grief, loss, even murder.
Her work includes handmade, one of kind jewellery, wearable books, collage, and small objects – inspired by and incorporating mementos, ephemera, relics, artifacts and discarded treasures. Her art is best experienced in person, they invite you to ponder, to wonder, to discover, and to reminisce.
Wendy completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Alberta and studied jewellery making at Griffith University in Brisbane, and McGregor Arts (USQ) in Toowoomba, Australia.
