After painting watercolours for almost 25 years, I wanted to learn a new medium, to paint deeper, richer colours, and add texture to my paintings. So I studied acrylic techniques with Rita Edwards for several years.
Under the guidance of Michelle Miller for three years, my creative journey has gone in a wild and colourful new direction and I am now painting large, vibrant many-layered abstract canvases.
I am so in love with colour, and the emotions it expresses, that I feel driven to paint. When I begin a canvas, I have no preconceived idea about how it will turn out. I know it is finished when I have made friends with it. . .
My art is held in private collections in Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Japan. In 2014/15/16, I exhibited through the Community Arts Council, and Saanich Municipal Hall Arts Program.
