I’ve been an artist for as much of my life I remember. I sold my first drawings at recess in elementary school for pocket money in the sixties. I took every art class offered in my Ontario high school but learned the most from an artist who was a customer from my paper route. She allowed me to watch her paint and gave me feedback on my first attempts at “wet on wet” oil painting. I slowed down the painting when I went to college and University, picked it up again in 1993, stopping again when my daughter was born, then my son, then work and finally picked up the brush again in 2011. Had my first solo show in Victoria in January 2014 and then have been artist in residence the last two summers in the hotel, tourism Victoria sponsored Artishow program.
