| Description | Canadian artist Christine Crawford lives in Victoria, BC.
Having never taken any formal painting classes, in 2008 she decided to take a watercolour class. Although she found this medium to be very challenging, she decided to persevere, learn to relax, and enjoy its unpredictability. She likes using translucent watercolors applied in many layers that allows her to paint the strong colors, light, and shadows.
With her love of animals, it is her favourite subject to paint, however, having taken a recent trip to Africa her inspiration upon returning was to paint portraits of the many beautiful children she encountered. Feeling more confident in where she has come with her painting, she would like to begin sharing her work with others.
