Kari grew up on a sailboat in Ladysmith and through that experience her art feels a pull both for the subject of marine life but also to backyard gardens she longed to have.
Kari describes her subject matter and medium of choice as fluid. One week she is repurposing marine buoys into garden art with acrylic paints and the next she is creating large-scale wildlife portraits with charcoal and canvas.
