Description | Holly Vivian is a contemporary painter and multi-disciplinary artist who creates detailed, vibrant antidotes to the grind of urban life. She draws inspiration from the Pacific Ocean, Desolation Sound, stars and planets, confetti, seasons, emotions, and human connection.
Her art has been shown at Emily Carr House, the McPherson Playhouse Gallery, and the James Bay Art Walk, and her nearly 25 year performing arts career as a production manager, lighting designer, and stagehand has taken her to most performance venues on Vancouver Island. Holly produced and designed a successful annual cabaret of dance for 4 years called Light On Our Feet, which celebrated Victoria based dance artists of all genres; when not in her art studio, she currently serves as Production Manager for Dance Victoria.
She holds a diploma in Theatre Design and Technology from Red Deer College, is a graduate of Accomplishment Coaching, and is a member of the Thrive Together network for women and non-binary artists. Holly resides in Victoria, BC, where the Lekwungen speaking people have created and danced for thousands of years. |
