Community Christmas Tree – NEW for 2020!

Calling all artists and creatives!

NEW for the holidays, come and add your hand-decorated ornaments to the Community Christmas Tree.  ArtSea, in partnership with the Sidney BIA, is pleased to present you with another opportunity to join the community and get creative! We have locally produced wooden ornaments available for you to paint or decorate and then add to the Community Christmas Tree for everyone to enjoy.

1. Pick your ornaments at participating local retailers:

• The Salish Sea Store at the Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea
• Island Blue,  Sidney location
• Buddies Toys
• Flush Bathroom Essentials

*These ornaments are produced locally by McTavish Academy of Art with their cool new laser cutter – using locally sourced wood. All proceeds go toward supporting community projects, so you can feel great about supporting a local initiative, with locally produced products, and participating in an event that enriches our community!

2. Paint or decorate your ornament

• acrylic or oil paint
• Paint Markers
• tissue paper and glue
• rhinestones

*add your name or artist contact information on the attached label, or write a note of holiday cheer to share with the community.

3. Add your hand-made ornaments t  o the Community Christmas Tree: 2493 Beacon Ave., Sidney BC

• Materials used to decorate ornaments should be suitable for an outdoor environment.
• ArtSea can add a protective varnish layer to your ornament, if you choose.
