ArtSea Community Arts Council is a charitable organization that relies on support from the community in order to operate and present arts and cultural programming.

ArtSea is grateful to the Peninsula CO-OP for their generous contribution toward resources and capital equipment improvements for ArtSea and the ArtSea Gallery in Tulista Park. This investment will have a lasting impact, and the resulting improvements will benefit the 20,000 annual visitors to the gallery and the more than 150 artists that exhibit their work throughout the year. It will also help to support the efforts of the dedicated ArtSea team that works to deliver high-quality arts and cultural programming for the community.

ArtSea is fortunate to work with the amazing team at the Sidney BIA throughout each year to support and promote arts and culture in our community. ArtSea collaborates with the SBIA each spring to present the Sidney Art Walk. In the summer, the SBIA coordinates the the beautiful jellyfish lantern display in Garden Court and sponsors the evening entertainment at the Salish Sea Lantern Festival. We are also grateful to the SBIA for helping to promote the ArtSea Studio Tour and other community programs offered by ArtSea.

ArtSea would like to thank Thrifty Foods, Sidney for helping to support out team of ArtSea volunteers. Through this generous contribution, ArtSea has been able to offer refreshments for volunteer gatherings at the ArtSea Gallery. Thrifty Foods also provided a tent and two volunteers to work at the Salish Sea Lantern Festival and support the Salish Sea Lantern Festival volunteer crew throughout the evening with food, drink, and a place to rest.
Rotary Club of Sidney by the Sea actively supports various needs in the Sidney and Greater Victoria areas. ArtSea is delighted to welcome The Rotary Club of Sidney to the ArtSea President’s Circle, where their support will help foster arts and culture in our community. We are equally excited about their participation in the Salish Sea Lantern Festival, where they showcase a wonderful costume and unique hand-constructed lantern.
Holmes Realty is a long-time supporter of the annual Salish Sea Lantern Festival. Each year ArtSea receives a generous contribution from Holmes Realty, which helps to cover some of the expense associated with materials and equipment for this this highly anticipated celebration of art, culture, light, and community.
Seaside Magazine is a great supporter of local arts and culture. ArtSea grateful for the support offered over the years and is very grateful for the opportunity to advertise ArtSea Programs and events in Seaside Magazine with an in-kind contribution for advertising space.

The ArtSea Gallery in Tulista Park
The ArtSea Gallery in Tulista Park is situated along the beautiful waterfront walkway in Sidney, BC. The ArtSea Gallery is operated by ArtSea Community Arts Council and made available for weekly artist-led exhibitions, workshops, and classes. A wonderful team of ArtSea staff and volunteers maintain the gallery space and office so that it can be available to the community. The ArtSea Gallery is a valued attraction and community meeting point for residents and tourists visiting the Saanich Peninsula. The ArtSea Gallery Building is owned by the Town of Sidney, and the exterior building and property are maintained by the Town.
Salish Sea Lantern Festival
The Salish Sea Lantern Festival is a magical celebration of light, community, and artistic expression in August, along the waterfront in Sidney, BC. This free event includes musical and cultural performances, costume dress up, and culminates in a magical lantern procession.

ArtSea Studio Tour
The Sidney Seaside Sculpture Walk
The Sidney Seaside Sculpture Walk is a magnificent outdoor art gallery on display for everyone to enjoy along the waterfront walkway between Beacon Park and the ArtSea Gallery in Tulista Park.
The Sculpture Walk is owned and maintained by the Town of Sidney. ArtSea Community Arts Council has worked to revitalize the sculpture walk through a Memorandum of Understanding (2019 – 2024) with the Town of Sidney.
The ArtSea Scholarship Program
The ArtSea Scholarship Program provides $1,250 each year to support the development of young artists. Funding for this scholarship is raised through ArtSea annual programming.
The Dianne Cross Award for the Arts was created in recognition of one of the founders of ArtSea Community Arts Council (then named, the Community Arts Council of the Saanich Peninsula), to honour her remarkable contribution to arts and cultural activities on the Peninsula.
The Saanich Peninsula Arts and Culture Grant and Bursary Program
The Saanich Peninsula Arts and Culture Grant (SPACG) Program is administered by ArtSea Community Arts Council, adjudicated by a team of ArtSea volunteers, and funded by the Town of Sidney, and the District of North Saanich.
We are pleased to work together with our municipal partners to offer grants and bursaries to support local arts and culture initiatives.
The Sidney Art Walk
The Sidney Art Walk is a partnership program presented by ArtSea and the Sidney BIA. Each spring, the Sidney BIA invites businesses to display the work of local artist and artisans in the windows of their establishments. ArtSea puts out a call to artists to welcome local artist and artisans to display their work in the community.
This is a wonderful partnership program that benefits local artists and business, and provides an opportunity for the residents and visitors to engage with local arts and culture.
Coast Capital Art Display
The Coast Capital Art Display is a partnership program between ArtSea and Coast Capital Savings. provides a valuable opportunity for artists to showcase their work within the community. It also enriches the community’s cultural landscape, providing residents and visitors with access to large-scale original artwork produced by ArtSea Members.
ArtSea Membership Profiles
ArtSea Membership Profiles are free dedicated webspace for ArtSea Members to share their information and work online. Profile pages may include name, address, preferred media or art form, and artist Bio, and an image gallery of works. Profiles are created and maintained by each ArtSea Member. ArtSea is pleased to provide our members with supportive and affordable opportunities to show and sell their artwork, increase their client base, and develop community connections.
Interactive Arts Directory
The Interactive Arts Directory provides an opportunity to explore arts and culture practitioners and resources on the Saanich Peninsula through an online, interactive map.
Locations on the interactive map include information and images for local artists, studios, or arts and culture organizations. This is a free resources for sharing or accessing arts and culture information for the community.
Arts Newsletter
The ArtSea Newsletter is a monthly email distributed to more than 1000 subscribers. The Newsletter provides information and updates about ArtSea Programming, upcoming opportunities to register or get involved with local arts and culture, and information shared by ArtSea members and partners.
